The DROPDATA sites have been developed to promote better selection and use of pesticides (applying safer agents more efficiently).

The objectives of DropData include the following:

Provide technical information on application techniques: the DROPDATA.net resource pages
Examine wider issues related to pesticides: advocacy of Rational Pesticide Use (RPU)
Describe current and future activities
Provide presentations and down-loadable utilities and linkages with other web pages promoting similar aims.
Encourage linkages between research groups and extension workers interested in optimising pesticide use.
